ON-LINE THESIS UTILITY

Welcome to the Computer Science Department thesis registration utility. If you are planning to register for either   Thesis-A (CS 5399A) or Thesis-B (CS 5399B) you must follow the steps below to initiate the on-line workflow associated with registering for either course. This utility allows you to submit your thesis proposal and select your committee members. Approvals are obtained via an on-line workflow process. Failure to complete the required steps in a timely fashion may result in your not being able to register for a thesis course in the desired semester. You may want to refer to the Graduate College Thesis Information page for more information regarding the Graduate College thesis process. Note that this utility will generate the required Proposed Thesis Research Form from information you supply and will obtain electronic signatures.

To register for Thesis A (CS 5399A):

  • Meet with your advising faculty member and create a mutual agreement for a thesis proposal
  • Create an account.
  • Submit your proposal via this On-Line Thesis Utility to your thesis advisor at least 14 days before first day of semister to register for Thesis A.

To register for Thesis B (CS 5399B):

  • Thesis B on-line work flow will begin for students wishing to take Thesis B in the Fall 2012 semester.

Email will be sent to your Texas State email address as the proposal travels through the approval process. You may also check the status of your proposal at any time by logging in through this utility. When you receive an email with an assigned course section number you may officially register for the course.
