Goal: Research new methods that allow a person's identification based on the eye movement and the oculomotor plant metrics.

Motivation: Biometric methods employed today such as fingerprint identification and iris recognition can be technically breached by creating a model of a finger or a retina by using holographic methods. The properties of the eye movements allow to identify a person based on characteristics of oculomotor plant and complex eye movement patterns produced by the brain, making such form of identification especially counterfeit resistant.

Project Status: Looking for students interested in the project. The students will participate in the development and the evaluation of the eye gaze based biometric algorithms. Please contact Dr. Komogortsev if interested in participation.
