Course Description:Reducing mobile device, cloud computing platform, and supercomputer energy consumption is a paramount, daunting problem. This course covers state-of-the-art green computing research, including energy-efficient hardware and software design, power-aware resource management and storage solutions, green data centers and mobile computing. Cannot be taken for credit if received CS 4379Y credit.

|The goal of this course is to introduce fundamental concepts and techniques of Green Computing.|
|Students who complete this course will be able to understand how green systems, hardware and software are designed.|
|In addition, students will be able to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills needed to do research in the green computing field.|
