Course Description:
Reducing mobile device, cloud computing platform, and supercomputer energy consumption is a paramount, daunting problem. This course covers state-of-the-art green computing research, including energy-efficient hardware and software design, power-aware resource management and storage solutions, green data centers and mobile computing. Cannot be taken for credit if received CS 4379Y credit.Prerequisite:
- C or higher in CS 3358: Data Structures
Course Objectives:

The goal of this course is to introduce fundamental concepts and techniques of Green Computing. |

Students who complete this course will be able to understand how green systems, hardware and software are designed. |
