CS 7341 - Cyberspace Security

Course Description:

This course presents recent advances in methodologies, models, systems and applications of cyberspace security research. Topics include in-depth coverage of the state-of-the-art security technologies and research issues on information security, software security, network security, secure system design, secure programming, applied cryptography, vulnerability, and threats.

Prerequisite:

CS 5378 or equivalent with a grade of B or higher, or consent of the instructor.

Course Objectives:

The students will be able to:

  • Describe methodologies, models, systems and applications of security

  • Discuss research issues on various security topics

  • Practice attacking and defending cyber systems

  • Construct and test security systems

  • Evaluate security research papers

  • Develop research work on various security topics
