CS 7387 - Research in Computer Science

Course Description:

This course covers up-to-date research topics in computer science under the direction of a supervising professor. The course can be repeated once for additional credit with a different emphasis.

Prerequisite:

Consent of the instructor.

Course Objectives:

The students will be able to:

  • Identify current research topics in a field of computer science
  • Recognize current developing trends in a field of computer science
  • Collect, compare, and understand various research methodologies
  • Categorize, differentiate, and compare literature search, survey and critiquing
  • Create technical presentations
