April 26th is Computer Science Awards Day

  CS Awards Day 2019  

The Department of Computer Science will be hosting Awards Day on Friday, April 26th. 

We want to celebrate computer science majors who have worked hard to sustain excellence. Students receiving recognition should be proud of their accomplishments, just as the faculty and staff are proud of them. 

 

Tentative schedule:

11:45am - 12:45pm   Student honoree check-in

12:00pm - 1:15pm   Luncheon with student honorees, CS faculty, and IAB members in CMAL 212

1:15pm - 1:30pm   Move downstairs 

1:30pm - 2:00pm   Quick recognition ceremony

2:00pm - 2:15pm   Raffle drawing

2:15pm - 3:15pm   Honorees pick up certificates, department gifts, and socialize with CS faculty 

 

How to Get Invited:

Graduate Academic Excellence

Graduate Academic Excellence awards are made to graduate computer science or software engineering majors who have completed at least 15 semester hours of graduate course work in computer science on their degree plan at Texas State with at least a 3.8 grade-point average.

 

Undergraduate Academic Excellence

Undergraduate Academic Excellence awards are made to undergraduate computer science majors who have completed at least 30 semester hours of course work at Texas State with at least a 3.8 grade-point average and who have completed at least 9 hours of course work in computer science on their degree plan with a grade-point average of at least 3.6.

 

Graduate Research Excellence

Graduate Research Excellence awards recognize graduate research students who have been nominated by their respective graduate research advisor.

 

Undergraduate Research Excellence

Undergraduate Research Excellence awards recognize undergraduate research students who have been nominated by their respective undergraduate research advisor.
