Noushin Azami named recipient of P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship
Doctoral Computer Science student, Noushin Azami, has been awarded the prestigious and highly competitive P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) International Peace Scholarship. The International Peace Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. Members of P.E.O. believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.
The maximum amount awarded to a student is $12,500.
Noushin is currently a first year PhD student at Texas State University, San Marcos. She is working with Dr. Martin Butscher on the ECL group on parallel algorithms.
