Call for Projects

University Advancement is seeking innovative research teams to showcase their projects/demos at the 2022 Texas State University Innovation Lab and Reception at SXSW Interactive. This is an opportunity to network and share your research projects with industry professionals, University faculty and staff, and the SXSW Interactive audience.

Project Selection

Each year, the interest in showcasing at this event grows significantly. To vet the highest performing teams, we will host an online video showcase for invited judges. In addition to filling out the application, all project teams must submit short video* (up to 4 minutes) demo and/or pitch for their project. This content will serve as the material guest judges will view and score during the elimination period.

Note: Not all teams that participate in this preliminary session will be invited to participate in the Innovation Lab, this is a qualifying event.

For teams that applied and qualified for the 2020 Innovation Lab:

Please submit an application (we will use this to update your contact details) and note on the designated area of the application form that you were selected for the 2020 Innovation Lab and invited to return. You do not need to submit a video demo for this qualifying event.
