Abstract:

Many studies over the past decade have shown that eye movements carry personally identifiable information. As embedded eye trackers are becoming more common in wearable devices (e.g., mixed reality headsets), it is now more important than ever to consider how users’ privacy could be protected while preserving the utility of their eye movements. This study is an early exploration into novel ways to maximize both privacy and utility in eye tracking.
