I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University, San Marcos, TX. Prior to that, I worked as an assistant professor with the Department of Computer Engineering and Sciences, Florida Tech, Melbourne, FL, as a senior research engineer with Samsung Electronics DMC R&D Center (now Samsung Research), South Korea, and as a postdoctoral research scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, where I received my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering.
My research interests are in network science, data science, networking, and networked/computing systems. My recent focus is on
Design and development of efficient algorithms and computational tools for network analysis and graph mining,
Modeling, analysis, and control of epidemic/information spreading, and
Applied machine learning with real-world applications that involve high-frequency streaming data.
I am also interested in big data analytics acceleration, and modeling, analysis, and optimization of large-scale networked systems.
